Autumn. The elm trees reaching the water’s edge shed their leaves into the sea. There, the leaves join the water in an endless dance, sometimes gentle and serene, other times more vibrant and intense.
The Water Dance of Leaves captures this moment through the interplay of light on the sea, its reflections and refractions, revealing another world—one that belongs to both water and land.
Giorgos Kouvalakis was born in Alexandroupolis in 1968, where he continues to live today. He is a graduate of the Hellenic Air Force School of Technical Non-Commissioned Officers.
From a young age, he enjoyed photographing personal moments and landscapes. Since 2019, he has been a member of the Center for Creative Photography of Thrace, pursuing photography more systematically and participating in the organization's group exhibitions.
